Excessive bleeding from the vagina is considered a vaginal problem when this occurs in an abnormal manner. It means the woman bleeds even when it is not her monthly period. Ovarian cysts are also considered to be vagina problems. The heavy bleeding that is regular and prolonged result to the growth of these bumps in the endometrium or the uterus lining. These may or may not be cancerous. When a woman finds out that she has bumps in her vagina, she must consult with her gynecologist as soon as possible to remedy this. It is also for her to know whether it is cancerous or not. Better safe than sorry.

Perimenopausal women bleed off the cycle because this is part of their menopausal cycle. Those who have this ailment must see their gynecologists as soon as possible. If ever they experience, vaginal bleeding, they should determine whether it cancerous or benign. If it is cancerous, it is advisable that the necessary steps to removing the cysts be taken for the benefit of the woman and her loved ones.

Other potential culprits of excessive and abnormal bleeding in the vagina that are considered to be vagina problems are the injuries to the reproductive tract of the vagina during rape or surgery.

Sometimes, a tampon can also be stuck inside the vagina. This can also cause a problem. Bleeding disorders like leukemia and problems with clotting can also result to vagina problems specifically that of the bleeding. Vaginal bleeding, with fever, unusual mucus, and abdominal pain may mean that there is an infection and the woman must consult her doctor.
